
Bernadette Gaxiola
Flamenco
Bernadette Gaxiola has been teaching with the Scottsdale School of Ballet since it's inception in 2003.
She began her dance training in Flamenco, Spanish Folk Dance, Classical Spanish, and Mexican Folklorico
at the age of 6. Since then she has worked with companies such as the Laura Moya Spanish Dance Company (AZ),
Flamenco Ole (PA), alo Flamenco (AZ) Zona Flamenca (AZ), and Ballet Etudes (AZ).
She has studied with artists such as Antonio Granjero, Inmaculada Ortega, Oscar Nieto, Luis Montero, Teo Morca,
Julia Lopez, La Meida, Laura Moya and La Conja. She is a featured soloist at Scottsdale's Pepin Restaurant,
and is currently a company member of Calo Flamenco-Ballet de Martin Gaxiola. Ms. Gaxiola performs and promotes
flamenco throughout the valley.
She is dedicated to preserving and promoting flamenco as a tool for discovering individual expression through
body movement and rhythm.
