About our School

Scottsdale School of Ballet, under the direction of Sibylle Acatos-Dadey and Donald Dadey, is pleased to announce the 2011-2012 year. They offer a wealth of experience and have engaged a world class faculty for this year. The foundation of our training is a comprehensive, quality ballet program for students of all ages, and for the upper levels classes in Pointe, Variations, Russian Character Dance, Flamenco, Modern, and Pilates. Scottsdale School of Ballet is located in the Scottsdale Airpark in North Scottsdale. Our studio is easily accessed from the 101, Hayden, or Scottsdale Roads. For detailed directions please go to the CONTACT page.

Accomplishments

Our former students are now:
Jennifer Barrett was accepted and is attending the University of Arizona in Tucson.

Former student Jill Mahoney will attend the Pre-Traineeship program of Alonzo King's Lines Contemporary Ballet in San Francisco, CA.

Ashley Cox placed in the Top 12 for her solo at the Youth America Grand Prix regional competition in Huntington Beach.

Performance Opportunities

We feel that performing is a part of a student's training and participation in all of our performances is a neccessity. Every year we present two perfomances with original choreography and staging by the directors and faculty. Students, registered at the beginning of the 2011-2012 year have to option  have the option to perform in our 2012 Spring Performance, "Soiree de Ballet" unless you enroll in the non-performing Recreatioanl option, opting out of the performances by checking the appropriate box on the registration form, or if registered late in the 2011-2012 season. Students enrolling in the 3^rd Pay Period will be permitted to perform only with the approval and at the discretion of the directors.  All perfoming students will be required to atted Saturday rehearsals in addition to the regularly scheduled classes. Performances

We are very proud of the students who performed in the 2011 Winter Performance. We received a great response and many compliments on our students performances. Congratulations to all.  
The 2012 Annual Spring Performances "Soiree de Ballet" are on Friday May 4^th at 7:00 p.m and Saturday May 5^th at 7:00 p.m., 2012 at the Herberger Theater Center Stage West.
