About our Studio

Scottsdale School of Ballet, under the direction of Sibylle Acatos-Dadey and Donald Dadey, is pleased to announce the 2010-2011 year.  The school directors offer a wealth of experience and have engaged a world class faculty for this year.
We offer a quality ballet program for students of all age levels, and for upper levels a comprehensive program with Pointe, Variations, Russian Character Dance, Flamenco, Modern, Voice and Piano lessons, and now separate boys class and partnering class! We also offer private lessons and coaching for students of upper levels.

In addition to the solid dance curriculum Scottsdale School of Ballet offers various performance opportunities to our students.
Scottsdale School of Ballet is located in the Scottsdale Airpark in North Scottsdale. Our studio is easily accessed from the 101, Hayden, or Scottsdale Roads.  For detailed directions please go to the CONTACT page.

Accomplishments

We are proud to announce that Megan Chmelik, a graduate from our school has been promoted to Apprentice for the 2010-2011 season with Ballet Arizona. We wish Megan great success in her career and are looking forward to future performances with Ballet Arizona.
Tenae Roth is attendinng the Pre-Traineeship program of Alonzo King's Lines Contemporary Ballet in San Francisco, CA.
Ashley Cox placed in the top 20 in the 2009 regional competition of the Youth America Grand Prix in San Diego, CA.
Mr. Dadey coached Eric White in the variation from Don Quixote to the finals of the Youth America Grand Prix in NYC.
Congratulatation to all for their accomplishments.

Performance Opportunities

Every year we present two perfomances with original choreography and staging by Sibylle Acatos-Dadey, Donald Dadey and our wonderful faculty. Our students have the option to perform in both our 2010 Winter Festival and our 2011 Spring Performance, "An Evening of Ballet," unless they enroll in a Non-Performing option. Students enrolling after the 2nd Pay Period will be permitted to perform only with the approval and at the discretion of the directors. We feel that performing is part of a students training and participation in all of our performances is a neccessity. You may however, opt out of the performances by checking the appropriate box on the registration form. You can access the calendar for other important dates here. CALENDAR
Our Winter Festival will take place on December 18thand 19th 2010 at 7:00 p.m. and 2:30 respectively in the Pinnacle High School Auditorium. Click here for directions to the theater.PINNACLE
Our 2011 Annual Spring Performances "An Evening of Ballet" are on May 21st at 7:00 p.m. and May 22nd at 2:30 p.m., 2011 at the Herberger Theater Center Stage West.
